June20 / Sharon Overmars is an artist/designer, born in The Netherlands.
Before starting to inexhaustibly work on her paintings, she worked as a freelance Interior Designer under the name Noubia Interieurontwerp.
Among other things she draws inspiration from African art, Mexican folklore & Greek Mythology, but most of all from her inner quest for happiness.
Her works are vibrantly colourful, sensitive and each one transmits their own identity. She calls her subjects ‘shapeshifters’ as they often seem to exist in different realms.
Coming from an Interior Design background, Sharon regularly collaborates with Interiors Designers, such as Stock Dutch Design, Sies Home, Atelier Nicole Dohmen, Willemijn de Leeuw, Wendy Verhaegh Interior Design and Stekkie Amsterdam.
Her art was mentioned and published in magazines, such as VT Wonen & Residence. In January 2024 her first wallpaper designs in collaboration with Catchii homeware were launched at Paris Deco Off.
Sharon happily lives with her 2 sons, husband and pets near the sea in Castricum, The Netherlands.
